Self-care means taking the time to do things that help us to live well and improve both our physical and mental health. It can help us to manage stress, lower our risk of illness and increase our energy.

It should not be mistaken as self-indulgence or being selfish. Self-care is important and should be something we prioritise in order to maintain a healthy relationship with ourselves.

We care for ourselves by doing things to take care of our minds, bodies and souls, by engaging in activities that promote wellbeing and reduce stress. Doing so enhances our ability to live fully and effectively.
