Awareness & Understanding

Mental health awareness is important in promoting mental health treatment, self-care and emotional wellbeing. 

Most of the time, we only tend to recharge our batteries when they are running low. Through developing our awareness of mental health we can start to recognise the signs and symptoms when we or others are feeling "off", just as we would be able to with any physical health issues. 

Most of us tend to think about mental health only in relation to mental illness, however, the absence of a mental health condition or diagnosis does not determine someone's mental fitness and wellbeing, just as, being diagnosed with a mental illness, or experiencing mental health issues, doesn't stop you from being mentally fit and well. 

If we can expand our understanding of mental health issues and start to proactively focus on our emotional health and fitness, we can live life with passion, purpose and precision.
